Kumho Tires, a South Korea based global leader in tire manufacturing, announced last week their plans to further roll out RFID technology with their tire production.
Though Kumho Tires had begun utilizing RFID technology back in 2013, beginning last Tuesday, they are now applying tags to half finished tires in the manufacturing process. Kumho has been very encouraged by the effectiveness of tagging their tires with RFID tags. So, now they are employing the technology to improve the efficiency of tire manufacturing and quality control.
