UCC (Uniform Code Council)
What is a UCC Code?
GS1 US, the Global Standards Organization that oversees the Uniform Code Council, assigns a six-digit identification number to manufacturers, allowing them to use the UPC to mark products in the United States. This prefix is the first six digits of a product’s UPC and is used for the purpose of tracking its production. The UCC has also developed a similar system for other countries.
