What is an RFID Chip?

An RFID chip is a small integrated circuit inside an RFID tag that stores and processes identifying data. The chip works with the tag's antenna to communicate with an RFID reader using radio waves.

Depending on the application, an RFID chip may store information such as a unique identifier, Electronic Product Code (EPC), serial number, or other data used to identify and track products, inventory, assets, and equipment.
