What is a Tamper-evident Tag?

A type of RFID transponder that communicates to a reader when a box, package or shipping container has been opened. Tamper-evident tags are typically included withing locking seals that can secure container and/or act as a locking mechanism. Tamper-evident tags are usually encoded only used once – thus their usage in single use RFID tagging solutions.
