Nominal Range

What is Nominal Range?

The nominal range of RFID tags is the distance from which the tag can be read. This range is measured when the tag is attached to a wooden pallet. The measurement should be accurate within a few millimeters. The maximum nominal reading distance is 19.4 m. As the reader antenna is blocked by the user’s operating unit, it’s difficult to read a tag that is behind the user.
