Interrogation Zone

What is an Interrogation Zone?

An interrogation zone is an area in which the RFID signal is strong enough for an RFID reader to “excite” a passive tag to read its stored information.  Multiple objects in an area can cause signal interference, block intended reads, and reduce the throughput processing capability of an RFID reader. As a result, proper configuration of the hardware and software components is important.
