What is a Handheld Reader?

A handheld reader is a portable gun-shaped reader that can be utilized and activated by a person. As opposed to fixed RFID readers, handheld readers can scan items as needed, and can go virtually anywhere a worker goes. Handheld readers can attach to smartphones and be activated via mobile application.
