The Turn on Field List button toggles on / off a list of fields associated with the currently opened format in JMagic.  All MarkMagic fields that are part of the format will be organized here including Data fields which, by design, are not visible on the canvas.  Toggling on the field list is the only way to view and edit MarkMagic Data fields.  Note that when working with a dependent format (a format associated with a *MASTER format), the master formats' Data fields will be listed here as 'MData' rather than 'Data'.




Fields can be directly edited in the list by double clicking or by right clicking and choosing Edit.




By default, all MarkMagic field types are displayed in the list.  If you wish to display only a certain field type, the ability to filter by field type is available within the right click View menu or by clicking the Options button at the top.




Multiple fields can be selected in the list by the use of familiar keyboard shortcuts.  CTRL + left click on individual fields to create a selection group.  Shift + left click can also be used to select a group of fields that are in a row within the list.
