Software Project Leader - West Seneca, New York

CYBRA Corporation, a leading software developer, publisher and systems integrator specializing in Auto-ID technology, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced UI/UX Consultant to work with our R&D team to develop the next generation of our software suite.

This role will be responsible for the overall design, development, and implementation of the front end of EdgeMagic.

Expect to make informed decisions on visual style, quickly mockup interactive prototypes, and be a part of the building process with HTML, CSS + JS.

Job Responsibilities:

• Partner with the development team to deliver new EdgeMagic application

• Focus on designing and developing a unified experience across application

• Collaborate with design team to create consumer-like, elegant, intuitive experience

• Deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software; contribute technically to projects

• Develop and document detailed user experience deliverables including personas, requirements docs, storyboards, interaction flows, wireframes, prototypes, functional specs, and visual assets.

• Understand the target audiences’ needs, tasks, and goals

• Identify new opportunities, tools, and services to enhance the custom software platform

• Contribute creative ideas for making designs and design standards better

Knowledge and Experience:

• 3+ years of experience with web technologies and frameworks (HTML5, CSS, Ajax, JavaScript, jQuery)

• Experience with mobile optimized responsive design

• Strong knowledge of design principles, issues, and techniques

• Write functional code to abstract the front-end

• Strong understanding of RESTful API design

• Ability to prototype in vector tool of choice (Illustrator, Sketch, etc..)

• Proven ability to complete rapid prototyping, and deliver/support production-quality code.

The individual may sell software owned by CYBRA and other software products for which CYBRA is the distributor. The product line also includes printers, supplies and various technical services.

The position involves working as part of a team of sales, technical, marketing and development professionals.
